Relative to the provision on Procedure for Nomination to Fellow, United Architects of the Philippines in the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the UAP College of Fellows By-Laws, COF Chancellor Arch. Renato L. Punzalan, fuap, in his Notice to the Chapter Presidents  last July 29, 2011 announced that the Jury of Fellows is now ready to accept a list of qualified members for Initial Screening by the Jury of Fellows from UAP chapters.

According to the Notice issued by the Office of the Chancellor, the following PROCEDURES FOR NOMINATION FOR ELEVATION TO THE COLLEGE OF FELLOWS (INITIAL SCREENING) must be properly observed:

• UAP Chapters through their Chapter Presidents are enjoined to submit to the Jury of Fellows the list of qualified members for initial screening by the Jury of Fellows.

• Required submittals. Must be in one original copy (photo-copy, scanned or electronic will not be accepted)
  • List of qualified members for initial screening by the Jury of Fellows and with their respective field of expertise duly signed by the Chapter Secretary and the Chapter President – (use COF NOM Form 01)
  • Certificate of Membership in Good Standing for ten (10) consecutive years prior to his/her nomination duly certified by the UAP National Treasurer - (use COF NOM Form 02)
  • Certificate of Chapter in Good Standing for the Fiscal Year 2011-2012 - (use COF NOM Form 03)
  • Submittals must be in Standard COF Nomination Forms.

• Deadline for submission:  The documents mentioned in Items 2a, b, c, d must be received by UAP National Office on or before October 7, 2011, Friday, including those submissions made through courier service. Those documents received after the deadline including postal delays will not be accepted.

• Place of submission:  The documents must be addressed and submitted to:

• Medium of transmittal. The documents must be submitted through courier or hand-carry only.

• The Jury of Fellows will evaluate and check the submittals and the veracity of the documents submitted.

• The Jury of Fellows will prepare a short list of nominees. The Jury of Fellows will inform the Chapter through its Chapter President regarding their respective pre-qualified nominees. Pre-qualified nominees are those members who have satisfactorily complied with the initial screening requirements.

• Important: Please fill-up the forms properly and give all information requested.

According to the notice, non-compliance will invalidate the submittal.
