2011 WDA Activities

The United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) in coordination with the various Local Government Units (LGUs), its student auxiliary (UAPSA) units, its graduate auxiliary (UAPGA) units, and its chapters here and abroad, will be commemorating the World Day of Architecture, by having several activities that will promote and reveal how architecture is significant to human rights.
These activities will include awareness campaigns, forums, symposiums, CPE/CPD seminars, “Balangkasans”, sports activities, tree planting activities, exhibits and fellowship activities by each unit. Simultaneously, the UAP Student Auxiliary will be having design competitions aside from college-wide/university-wide awareness campaigns, exhibits and symposiums. The LGUs will have their own awareness campaigns, exhibits showcasing its own City/Town/Municipality, as well as community tree-planting activities in urban locations.
All Main Programs (unless indicated otherwise) shall be participated in by Metro Manila/NCR Districts/Chapters, to be held at locations within Metro Manila & the UAP Headquarters, and shall serve as a template for other regions (for their programs that shall be held simultaneously in their respective areas). Activities may be changed/adjusted as necessary. These activities shall focus on how Architects & Architecture can serve as instruments in upholding Human Rights.
