Lifetime Achievers Honored

The UAP College of Fellows honored the lifetime achievers during the Balik-Tanaw: A Tribute to the UAP College of Fellows LIFETIME Achievers program held at Teatro Arkitekto last October 3, 2011 in conjunction with the celebration of the 2011 World Day of Architecture.
The following honorees are: Architect Constantino F. Agbayani, fuap; Antonio Y. Balde, fuap; Francisco T. Mañosa, fuap; and Mauro C. SImpliciano, fuap.
Citations are as follows:
Arch. Constantino F. Agbayani, fuap
in recognition of his long service to the profession and the prestige contributed to the Organization through his ethical architectural practice and outstanding achievements particularly as chairman of the Council of Filipino Architects whereby its First National Convention was convened and led to the proclamation of Architecture Week; and initiated the unification of the three existing architectural organizations into one, the United Architects of the Philippines.
Arch. Antonio Y. Balde, fuap
in recognition of his long service to the profession and the prestige contributed to the Organization through his ethical architectural practice and outstanding achievements particularly in spearheading the chartering of the first UAP chapters; and serving the national organization in various national positions as well as in the Academe for organizing the College of Architecture of Columban College, Olongapo City.
Arch. Francisco T. Mañosa, fuap, likha awardee
in recognition of his long service to the profession and the prestige contributed to the Organization through his ethical architectural practice and outstanding achievements particularly in his promotion of Filipino Architecture; for having successfully instilled in the Filipino architect the pride of true Philippine Architecture and infused Filipino culture into the facades and spaces of the numerous structures he completed, both here and abroad; for sharing his nationalistic thoughts and aspirations in architecture to the Filipino youth through countless lectures and talks to students and future architects, and providing inspiration to his peers and valuable insights to the general public.

in recognition of his long service to the profession and the prestige contributed to the Organization through his ethical architectural practice and outstanding achievements particularly in his invaluable contribution to Architectural and Planning Education as mentor and Dean of prestigious universities.
