The United Architects of the Philippines is currently holding a logo design contest for its Center for Career Development. The objective of the said competition is to produce the official logo of the UAP Center for Career Development which shall be used in the conduct of its operations.

A. DESCRIPTION

The UAP Center for Career Development or UAP CCD is a learning institution  which aims to provide robust review courses that will ensure a successful outcome for the reviewees in the architecture board examination. Operated by the United Architects of the Philippines, the Integrated and Accredited Professional Organization, the Center aims to be the premier provider of learning and innovation to inspire the stakeholders to become responsive to the demands of professional growth and development.

B. OBJECTIVES

To produce the official logo of the UAP Center for Career Development which shall be used in the conduct of UAP CCD operations and all its communication.

C. QUALIFICATIONS

The contest is open to all architecture students and or graduates

D. REQUIREMENT AND MECHANICS

• A participate is allowed to submit only one (1) entry

• Entries should be in digital or freehand artworks

• The logo should not carry the name of the artist.

• The design should not apply the Philippine flag as  stated in the Philippines Republic Act No. 8491.

• The top 3 winning entries will be published in the official corporate website of the United Architects of the Philippines (homepage) and and its facebook account for 5 days to allow the public to view the entries and to prove their authenticity. Any complaint that may arise due to similarities or likeness with the  winning logo will render the 1st winning entry void and the award will be given to the 1st runner-up.

E. SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES

Entries shall be submitted on or before January 15, 2012 at 5:00 PM through email or hand-carry.

F. JUDGING AND OTHERS

• The Management Committee of the UAP CCD shall act as the Board of Judges. Only one (1) winning entry shall be chosen. The decision of the Board of Judges shall be final and unappealable. The Criteria shall be as follows:

• 40% Concept/Significance

• 30% Originality

• 30% Creativity and Overall Impact

•  Prize for Grand Winner: [1] Full Scholarship at the UAP CCD  [2] Plaque of Recognition to the winning contestant and his school

• The UAP CCD shall have exclusive rights to the winning logo design.  Thus, it  shall have the right to refine or make improvements/ alterations on the  winning logo
